Vendors

The Vendors on this page have agreed to give SC hams special deals.  I cannot be responsible for any transactions between an individual and a vendor.  All transactions are at your own risk.  No favoritism is offered, and if you know a vendor that would like to be listed, let me know and have them send me their information!

Computers and parts:

4/6/04-During my visit to the Charlotte Hamfest, I met a computer vendor by the name of Mike Thomasson from AT-Distribution, Inc.  He expressed an interest in setting up a "wholesale" account for Amateur Radio operators in South Carolina.  He has since set up an account for us, and asks interested parties to contact him via E-Mail, and he will put you on his mailing list.  I have to emphasize that he has offered his services to us, but I cannot endorse nor be responsible for transactions made with his company.  This is a convenience for SC Amateur Radio operators, as most of us look for reasonable computer prices, and have to wait for hamfests to  make a purchase.  Mike has offered his deals to us without having to wait for a hamfest to buy computer parts.

Mike wishes to say that he does have a technical support department, but they will not tell you how to build a computer.  If you order computer parts, do realize that many of them (OEM) may not have manuals or software-you might have to download drivers or application programs from the web as well.

Here is Mike's letter to SC Amateur Radio Operators:

I had the opportunity to meet Jim Boehner at the Charlotte Hamfest.  My name is Mike Thomasson and I work with Charlotte NC’s largest computer distribution company ATDistribution.  Among other things, I spoke with Jim about how computer distribution companies always have great success at Hamfests and we always find the Hamfests are the most enjoyable shows because of the people who attend.  You will always find ATD at the Charlotte and Shelby Hamfests for this reason.

In our conversation, we spoke about the possibility of how ATD could benefit the members of the SC chapter of the ARRL.  We came to the conclusion that it would be great if the SC members had access to a source for all your computer hardware needs all year. This idea developed into getting the ARRL-SC an account under our partner program here at ATD.  I am pleased to announce that the members of the ARRL-SC chapter now have an excellent source for your computer hardware needs at your convenience.

ATD specializes in computer hardware, software, complete computer systems, barebones machines, networking, surveillance, and many other technological products.   All this and more is now available to you the members of the ARRL-SC.  All you have to do is send me an email at miket@atd-inc.com or call me directly at 704-405-2800 x202 and let me know you are interested.  Once I hear from you I can then get you set up to receive my price listings on all the technology products that we have to offer.   There is no obligation or cost to get this information so contact me today and save money on your future technology needs.  I look forward to hearing from each of you.
