I promised a picture of the producer of Amateur Radio Today. From left to right in this picture is Dick McKay K6VGP, Dave Bell W6AQ (producer of Amateur Radio Today), Myself-Jim Boehner N2ZZ, and Jerry Robinson K6AV. I meet Dick and Jerry each year in Dayton, and they are good friends with Dave!

For those DX'ers out there, you will recognize Martti Lane, OH2BH, an Amateur Radio DX legend. Standing is Bernie, W3UR, editor of "The Daily DX" and QST's "How's DX" editor. Tony, OH2JFE is on the right. They were filling out QSL cards at the Yaesu booth. When I talked to Bernie, he seemed rather tired. In his publication he stated: "Sitting in a "booth" at a hamfest, talking to hundreds of DXers, and filling out hundreds of QSLs is not easy!" We thank all three of you for your DX talents!

Another individual who has made great strides for amateur radio in the classroom is Carole Perry WB2MGP, a teacher at Intermediate School 72 in Staten Island, NY. I had the pleasure of meeting Carole last year, when she told me that amateur radio was a REQUIRED class in her school! She said that not everyone gets their license, but all of these children will soon be on zoning boards, homeowner associations, and even the legislature! Carole is at the ICOM booth introducing a student of hers that was first licensed at age 8, and now at the ripe age of 10, has her extra class ticket!
