This is where it happens-Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio-The home of the Dayton Hamvention for all the years I have participated in the event. Dayton is known for rain, rain, rain. We did have one sunny day, though!
Getting ready for the event takes some time. This photo is of the ARRL booth, a day before the doors opened to the public. There were a lot of hard workers getting the booth together!
Here is a picture of the main arena, prior to the public coming into the building. A number of familiar brand names are seen. This picture was taken late in the afternoon prior to the beginning of the hamfest.
Here is a picture of the arena after the public has entered. It looks crowded now, but wait until the rain starts and everyone comes in from the flea market!!
